Arlene Kaye Jett, 87, of Marietta OH, passed away September 16, 2026 at the Washington County Home in Marietta, OH.
She was born November 10, 1938, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Early and Dicie Parks Brown.
Arlene was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She had attended Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Parkersburg and was a current member of Center Point Church in Little Hocking, OH. She served as a Sunday School teacher, mentor, treasurer and prayer warrior. She enjoyed singing and sang with the Jett’s for 31 years. She loved her Lord and loved people.
She is survived by her daughter Jill Jenise Jett, of Marietta, OH; sister Sylvia Hope Summers; a special friend Janet Richards (Bud); several nieces and nephews and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Audra “Chic” William Jett; infant children Jennifer Robin Jett and William Carl Jett; a daughter Crystal Leigh Jett Vogelsong; her siblings Arbutus Brady (Kenneth), Audre Hopkins (Lorentz), Denvil Brown (Nina), Geraldine Samples (Gerald), Otto Brown (Greta), Myrtle Belle Arbogast (Sonny), Ronald Brown (Beverly), Glenvil Brown, Stanley Brown and William Brown.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre, with Pastor Bud Corbin and Pastor Wayne Vogelsong officiating. Burial will follow at Torch Cemetery.
