James Patrick “Pat” Lowther, 60, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away June 23, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born on March 17, 1966, in Passaic, NJ, a son of James Alvin Lowther of Parkersburg and the late Edna Louise (Layfield) Lowther.
Pat loved creating. Whether that was drawing, painting, wood burning, or making jewelry. He was a master at it all and proudly passed that passion onto all three of his girls. Beyond his visual art, Pat enjoyed music, loving nothing more than playing his guitar. He also held a vibrant, youthful spirit, finding joy immersing himself into the fictional worlds of his favorite superheroes. Pat wore many hats; but husband, father, and pappy is what he wore most proudly.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Ann (Dellindia) Lowther of Parkersburg, three children, Melissa Dellindia (Belinda) of Parkersburg, Catherine Osborne (Tim) of Harrisville, WV, and Monica Hickman (Nelson) of Kingston, TN, seven grandchildren, Skylar, Riley, Izabella, Faith, Parker, Nathaniel, and Ember, sister, Linda Berwanger of Walker, WV, brother, Larry Lowther (Laura) of Mineral Wells, WV, sister-in-law Julie Lowther of Marietta, OH, several nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Edna, his brother Jay, and brother-in-law, Collin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Red Hill United Methodist Church in Parkersburg WV at the time of 4:30 pm on Saturday. Friends and family are welcome.
