Anita Griffith
Anita Glo Griffith, 81 of Parkersburg, passed away February 12, 2026 at the Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility. She was born August 3, 1944 in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Kester and Elesta Durst Whipkey.
Mrs. Griffith worked for several manufacturers which include: Kanawha Manufacturing, Corning Glass, Walker Machinery and Moen Corp. She was a member of the Celebration Center in Belpre for many years. Anita enjoyed gardening, her flowers and helping others.
Surviving are her three children: Tammy Schreckengost, Tina McMullen and Tony Schreckengost, all of Parkersburg, her grandchildren: Amanda Byrd, Stacy Thompson, Alisha Cobb, Brittany Harris, Matthew McMullen, Tony Schreckengost II, Hailey Schreckengost and Andrew Schreckengost along with 12 great and 6 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband Paul Griffith, sister Oma Rhodes and great-granddaughter Angel Marie Conant.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 11AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastors Rob and Cara Clegg officiating. Interment will follow at Skidmore Cemetery, Dallison. Visitation will be Monday 6-8PM.
