Patricia Sue Hoover
Patricia “Patty” Sue Cooper Hoover, 77, of Parkersburg, went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born in Marietta, OH on August 3, 1948, a daughter of the late James Leon Cooper and Margie Stanley Cooper of Parkersburg.

Patty worked for the Wood County Board of Education for 34 years, 17 years at the board office and 17 years at Mineral Wells Elementary as the secretary where, at both locations, she made many lifelong friends.
She was a Christian by faith and a member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and traveling, especially enjoying many family vacations to Myrtle Beach.
Patty was survived by her husband, Paul Hoover of Parkersburg, two children, Gregory Hoover (Stacy) and Christopher Hoover, both of Parkersburg. Five grandchildren, Olivia Bratke (Kyle), Jacob Hoover (Caroline), Jensen-Diana Herrod (Andrew), Taylor Hoover, and Brooklyn Hoover. She had four great-grandchildren, Hayden Bratke, Emerson Hoover, Adalynn Herrod and Landon Carpenter. Her siblings Sherry Hoover (Bill) of Parkersburg and John Cooper (Cathie) of Cincinnati, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no viewing and a celebration of life event will be held at a later date. Leavitt’s Crematory will be assisting the family.
