Kayla (York) Williams, 37, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
Born on June 16, 1989, Kayla was a beautiful soul with the sweetest heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She had a special way of making those around her smile, and if you spent any time with Kayla, chances are you spent much of it laughing. Her kindness, laughter, and loving personality made her someone truly special to everyone who knew her.
Above all, Kayla loved her husband and soulmate, Brett. The love they shared was a beautiful part of her life. She also adored her beloved cats, who held a special place in her heart and brought her so much happiness.
Kayla is survived by her loving husband, Brett Williams; her mother, Darlene York; her mother-in-law, Kim (Mike) Waybright, and their son, Aiden; her father-in-law, Steve (Kim) Williams, and their son, Alex; her sister, Angela (Todd) Lindimore; her brother, Joe (Vicky) York Jr.; and her nieces, Abigail and Ayla York. She is also survived by her siblings, Peggy Briggs, Tony York, and Larry York.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe York Sr., and siblings, Jodi Hamrick and Tammy Cobb.
Kayla will be remembered for her gentle heart, her contagious laughter, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She had a way of making even the simplest moments memorable, and the love and laughter she shared will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Though her time here was far too short, the memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever. She will be deeply missed and always loved.
Visitation will be Friday 5-8 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
