Charles W. Ambler, 61 of Belpre, passed away on October 9, 2026.
He was born on July 4, 1965 in Chandler. OK, son of Kenneth E. and Clydenna R. Ambler.
Charles, his brother Ken and father relocated to Vienna, WV in 1979. He graduated from PHS in 1983 and later Parkersburg Community College, where he studied computer science and accounting.
He dedicated his 36 year career to the oil and gas industry in the Appalachian Basin, beginning in 1987 with Pennzoil, and later PennzEnergy, Devon, East Resources and HG Energy, LLC. Charles was well respected and will be remembered by his friends and peers for his kind heart, dedication to his work, keen attention to detail and loyalty to his coworkers and friends.
On May 31, 2003, he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Lisa Wilkinson Ambler, who preceded him in death in 2020. They enjoyed a life together on their mini farm in Cutler, OH. Charles is survived by his brother Ken Ambler of Akron, OH and his HG Energy, LLC family.
Friends will be received at Leavitts in Belpre, OH from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2026.
