Terrill Best, 84, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away at his home on Friday, October 2, 2026.

Born September 1, 1942, in Zanesville, Ohio, Terrill was a son of the late Lewis and Edith Best and was raised in McConnelsville, Ohio. Terrill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964 as an aircraft mechanic. After his military service, he went on to a 32-year career with Marbon Chemical and its successors, Borg-Warner Chemicals and GE Plastics. On August 18, 1963, Terrill married Vicki, and together they shared 61 years of marriage. He was a loving husband and father and an active member of Rockland Global Methodist Church. Terrill was a Freemason and had a great love for Farmall tractors.

He is survived by his daughter, Staci (John) Hill; his grandsons, Derek Hill and Matthew (Lauren) Hill; his great-granddaughter, Lily LaRue Hill; his brother, Steve (Carol) Best; and his sister, Marla (Billy) Nix.

In addition to his parents, Terrill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vicki Best; his brother, Ford Best; and his sister, Rhonda Nicholson.

The family extends its heartfelt thanks to all of his dedicated caregivers and support staff. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Cawley Hospice, 2730 Washington Blvd., Belpre, OH 45714.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday October 8, 2026, at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre, with Chaplain Rick Headley officiating. Burial will follow at McConnellsville Cemetery.
