Alice May Williams, 87, of Vienna, met her Savior face to face September 19, 2026. She has received her reward, and has “put on a crown and walked around all over God’s Promised Land.” She was born March 13, 1939, a daughter to the late Charles O. and Lora E. Walters (Reed).
Alice’s passion and joy in life was the vocation and ministry of music, sharing The Gospel with the Williams Family for many years. Her family entrusted her as the bookkeeper, scheduling and organizing the logistics of her family’s gospel music. Sharing the Love and Good News of Jesus through song was her and her family’s life mission, which she executed with joy, humility, grace, and gratefulness. She was a talented cook, beautiful vocalist, gifted pianist, and a stalwart example of a Godly woman.
Surviving Alice are her children Eric WIlliams (Susy), Melody Ross (Mark), and JB Williams (Kristy); grandchildren Travis Woollard (Jacquelyn), Emily Burch (Spencer), Meghan Cott (Corey), Bradley Williams, Jordan Williams, Abigail Verlinde (Aaron) and Moriah Zickefoose (Sonny); great-grandchildren Hunter, Elliott, Rae Alice, Elijah, Jiles, Olive, Nolan, Hazel May, Andi Marie, and Asher; unofficial grandson Jason Phillips, and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Williams; sister Betty Lou Berg, and granddaughter Kayley Marie Williams.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her friend and nurse, Betty Powers, for her tremendous care of Alice, and to Adoration Hospice for their dedicated work and care.
A Funeral Service for Alice will be held Thursday, September 24th, at 2pm, at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Visitation will be same day from 12-2pm. A private graveside burial for the immediate family will take place at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory may be given to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
