Connie Sue McGinnis, 77, of Parkersburg, passed away August 8, 2026.
She was born in Charleston, WV on January 21, 1949, a daughter of the late Forest “Mac” and Peggy O. (Stalnaker) McNemar.
Connie worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she served as Pastoral Care and Roughneck Angels INC. after her retirement at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She loved movies, family especially her grandchildren, music, cards, and working.
Connie is survived by her husband of 57 years Carl J. McGinnis of Parkersburg, WV, two children, Carla D. MAKinney (Coe) Parkersburg, WV and Carl “Joey” McGinnis (Cassie) of Vienna, WV, two grandchildren, Colt Hutchinson and Sydney Clegg, and one great-grandchild Dallas Harper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don McNemar.
Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday August 29, 2026 at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Dan Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday August 28, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
