Richard D. Mace, Sr., 88, of Vienna, WV died Saturday August 8, 2026 at Camden Clark Medical Center-WVU Medicine. He was born in Grantsville, WV a son of the late Glen F. and Marie (Powell) Mace.
He was a surveyor for the State of West Virginia and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Hilda L. (Spore) Mace; son Richard Mace II (Nicholle) of Parkersburg; daughter Jamie Dawn Goff (Eric) of Harrisville, WV; grandchildren Kala Wilson (Adam), Allyssa Narvaez (Lalo), Randy Fluharty (Heather, Jasmine Maston (Waylon), and Darrenger Goff (Billie); thirteen great grandchildren; and two sisters Sue Nicholas (Phil) and Pearl Bollinger.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother.
The family will have private services. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
