Erma Loraine Yost, 83, of Amesville, OH, passed away July 29, 2026 at her residence.
She was born on November 20, 1942, in Hazelgreen, WV a daughter of the late James Carl and Amy Oda Tingler Williams.
Erma graduated from St. Joseph’s Nursing in 1963. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked as an RN for St. Joseph’s Hospital. Erma was a member of Gospel Baptist Church in Torch, OH.
Erma enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. She loved spending time with her family. She was Art’s life partner and worked hard keeping him straight.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 63 years, Arthur Earl Yost; son Kevin Yost (Debbie) of Vincent, OH and daughter Angela D. Durben (Rick) of Pelion, SC; grandchildren Kevin C. Yost, Caleb C. Yost (Skylar), Morgan Yost, James Yost and Wyatt Durben (Paige) and 4 great-grandchildren, Emilee, Waylon, Jaxon and Wesley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be 12pm Saturday August 1 2026, at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre, with Rev. Jay Hubbard officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Grantsville, WV. Visitation will be 10am-12pm on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Baptist Church, 29541 E Belpre Pike Rd, Coolville, OH 45723.
