Karen Kay Frame, age 83, of Little Hocking, transcended this world on July 5, 2026. Karen was born in Washington Co and graduated in the first class at the new Warren High School in 1961. She apprenticed in legal aid training in Marietta, which she used the rest of her life. Karen met her future husband, Ronald D. Frame while he attended Marietta College. They were wed in August 1964. They traveled Europe extensively during the five years of his military career which continued later as world travelers. Aside from being a professional homemaker, she managed and accounted for Optometric Physicians of Parkersburg Inc. and the Frames Etc. Inc eye wear company.
Karen’s greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. Her son Ronald D. Frame II M.D. was born in Germany at a US Army hospital base and her daughter Joanna G. Frame OD was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She adored and was frequently known to overindulge her seven grandchildren. Her dog Reba received her remaining affections.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Ronald D. Frame OD and her son, Ronald D. Frame II, who has three daughters, Cadence, Lacey and Jillian, who now all attend college. His oldest is soon to be married. Also surviving is Karen’s daughter, Joanna G. Frame, who resides in Boston, Mass and has four children. Grace K. West is a homemaker and in the accounting business. Sophie C. Presnell will graduate and will get her Doctorate of Optometry in May 2027. She plans to assume the leadership of Optometric Physicians. Anderson Knapp is located in Cincinnati following his college graduation. Her youngest son, Robert Knapp E4, is currently deployed with the U.S. Army National Guard. Finally and the most recent arrival is her first great granddaughter, Mayson Presnell.
Karen was the last survivor of her family unit. She was preceded in death by her father Willard Anderson and mother Mildred Anderson. She was also preceded by her brother Donald Anderson, and sisters Barbara Best, Betty Wagner Miller, and Reta Jo Timko. Karen has finally completed the family circle at the throne and now gets meet her first son, Robert W. Frame.
Services for Karen will be on Friday, July 10th at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Belpre. Pastor Richard Smith will be officiating. Friends may attend visitation at the funeral home on Friday starting at 9:30 AM with a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow this service with family attending the grave side ceremony at the Rockland Cemetery.
