Mary Ann Jones, 54 of Parkersburg, passed away unexpectedly at her residence March 24, 2026. She was born July 2, 1971 in Norristown, PA, a daughter of the late Arthur M. Dilworth and Catherine Gaspero Dilworth of Plymouth Meeting, PA.

MaryAnn was a truly remarkable soul. She was the heartbeat of every gathering, ready at a moment’s notice to sway to the rhythm, belt out the words of her favorite songs, and sprinkle laughter with her delightful sense of humor.

Music, dancing, bubbles, rainbows, and giraffes were her delights, just as much as a refreshing twisted iced tea and a heartfelt chat with friends. Above all, she was a collector of memories and precious moments she gathered along the way. She loved deeply and with her whole self. Sometimes her heart wasn’t big enough to hold all the love she had.

MaryAnn took immense pride in being Gigi to her grandchildren, who were her greatest treasures. The days spent playing, laughing, and dancing with them filled her heart with pure delight. Anyone lucky enough to know her witnessed the depth of her love for her grandkids and the joy she found in every fleeting moment with them.

Known for being ever-present when needed, MaryAnn embodied loyalty and vibrant spirit; she had a magical way of brightening every room she entered, quick with a joke, or a light of your smoke, and leaving behind trails of rainbows and bubbles along the way.

Though she excelled at many things, cooking was not one of them and she gladly left that skill to her Mom.

Surviving in addition to her mother are three children: Jake Jones (Molly), Shawn McMahon, and Jadyn Placchetti, all of Parkersburg, eight grandchildren: ViviAnne, Greyson, Coleben, Maleah, Oliver, Asher, Thea and Jordan, and her three siblings.

In addition to her father, Mary Ann was preceded in death by an infant son Jordan Jones and sister-in-law Colleen McMahon.

Memorial services will be Saturday 3PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Deacon John Maher officiating. A time of gathering for family and friends will be one hour prior to services.
