Phyllis Mary Stemple, 86 of Parkersburg passed away March 17, 2026 at the Worthington Healthcare Center.
She was born August 26, 1939 in Wood County the daughter of the late Ross Leland and Amelia Jane Urchell Stemple.
She had been employed by the U.S. Government in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Worthington Manor Nursing Home in Parkersburg and the Valencia Hospital in New Mexico.
She loved riding horses, bicycling and farming.
She is survived by her brother, Russell William Stemple (Mary) of Parkersburg and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Ross Stemple and Paul Stemple and her sister, Dorothy Edman Stemple.
Funeral services will be Saturday March 28th at 11:00am at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Nathan Copen officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8pm.
