Myrtle Louise Francis, 91, of Little Hocking, Ohio, passed away December 3, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on September 29, 1934 in Summit, WV, a daughter of the late Lawrence William Vanscoy and Dorothy Mae Hall.
Myrtle was a homemaker as well as working as a nurse’s aid. She had been a member of the Silver Sneakers. Myrtle enjoyed traveling, sewing, quilting and researching her ancestry. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Danny Francis (Kap) of Olympia, WA, Christina Lang of Parkersburg, Lawrence Francis (Lane) of Athens, GA, Lorie Lemasters (Roy) of Marietta, OH, Lisa Mullins of Reynoldsburg, OH, Chester Wayne Francis (Eva) of Parkersburg; sister Carroll Robson (Cliff) of Taylor, TX; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Merle Francis, son Michael Francis and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, 1:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre, with Chaplain Ryan Clegg officiating. Burial will follow at Meigs Memory Gardens in Pomeroy, OH. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Belpre.
