Victoria Ann George, 84, of Belpre passed away November 17, 2025, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio.
She was born on July 31, 1941, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Powell Hunter and Ina Caroline Treadway Burd.
Victoria was formerly of Parkersburg, WV. She later moved to Franklin, TN and then returned to Belpre to be closer to her family.
She had worked for Union Insulating and it’s successors for over 60 years before retiring. She was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church and also the Bible Baptist Church in Franklin, TN.
Victoria is survived by her children Becky Jones (David) of Little Hocking, OH, Jim George (Robin) of Little Hocking and Cathy Race (Jerry) of Brookville, IN; 6 grandchildren, Jessica Curry, Joshua Jones (Bailey), Michelle Duley (Josh), Caleb Jones (Bree), Megan Tornes (Derrick) Joseph Race (Cephora) and Jennifer Lakes; 20 great grandkids; a sister Jackie Blair and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin George; sisters Pat Nuse and Barbara Rector; a brother Robert Powell Burd.
Funeral services will be 12:30pm Friday November21, 2025, at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre with Pastor Janelle Skinner officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8pm.
