James G. Williams, Sr., 84, of Washington, WV died Wednesday September 16, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Charleston, WV on March 7, 1942.
He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Faith Gospel Church. He retired after thirty-six years from GE Plastics. He was a member of the Blennerhassett Volunteer Fire Department and had served as Assistant Chief. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family at the farm.
Jim is survived by his wife of almost sixty-four years Grace (Frame) Williams; son James Williams Jr. (Belinda) of Parkersburg; three grandchildren Tyler Williams (Tommy Farrah), Casey Williams (Emily), and Courtlyn Elder (Trace); four great grandchildren Gracie and Violet Williams and Caylum and Lillian Elder; and four siblings Greg, Charlie, and Zane Kuhl, and Cheryl Huffmaster.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther Talmadge and Gladys (Williams) Kuhl; daughter Tonya Saunders; and four siblings Steve, John, Jeff, and Neisha Kuhl.
Services will be Saturday 2:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Adam Hall officiating. Graveside services will be Monday 12:00 PM at Middlerun Cemetery in Frametown, WV with military honors. Visitation will be Saturday 12-2 PM
