Brenda Kay Emerick, 51, of Parkersburg passed away unexpectedly September 5, 2026 at the Camden Clark Hospital. She was born on May 6, 1975 in Parkersburg, WV a daughter of Anita Stallings Emerick of Parkersburg and the late Roger C. Emerick.
Brenda graduated from Parkersburg South High School and Marshall University with an accounting degree. She formerly worked for Perry & Associates as an accountant and more recently with AWL Auto & Trucking and was currently serving as an accountant with her personal clients. Brenda loved all animals, especially her kitties. She loved being with her family, traveling and going to concerts, particularly with her KISS family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Mark Emerick of Parkersburg; two aunts Donna Lyons and Bobbie Quinn; cousins Lynette, Leann, Kori and their extended families.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her cousin, Kevin Bohl.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Christian Church in the Fellowship Hall, 2406 10th Avenue, Parkersburg, WV 26101 with Pastors Chuck Furbee and Mike Kidd officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service for all family and friends.
Brenda’s request was to be cremated and placed in Ravenswood Cemetery with her family.
Donations may be made in Brenda’s memory to Trinity Christian Church or Humane Society of Parkersburg.
