Ruth Ann Jackman, 77 of Parkersburg passed away August 19, 2026 at the Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born in Marietta, OH. July 20, 1949 the daughter of the late Forest Dale and Rachel Ruth Hammat Joy.
She had worked as a Secretary for Coldwater Creek and as a Crossing Guard in Williamstown, WV for over 20 years.
Ruth enjoyed gardening, baking, taking walks, traveling, craft shows, yard sales and visiting with family and friends and loved her cats. She had at one time been a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was currently a member of Southside Southern Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Jackman of Parkersburg; Her brother, Jack Joy (Linda) of Williamstown; Her sister, Barbara Conlon (Jack) of Reno, OH. Her nieces and nephews, Aletha Roach, Matthew Joy, Tracy Garavaglia and Scott Eble.
The Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the very near future at the Tomlinson Park in Williamstown, WV. The day and time will be announced on the Leavitt Funeral Home website at www.leavittfuneralhome.com
