James D. Jobes, 60, of Parkersburg, WV died Saturday August 22, 2026 at his home. He was born in Parkersburg, WV, a son of Don and Diana (McKimmie) Jobes.
He was a United States Air Force Veteran and worked for the Belpre Police Department, Washington County Sheriff Department, and Bureau of Fiscal Services.
In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his wife Renee (Crago) Jobes; stepchildren Chance Fisher, Hannah Mason (Alex), and Morgan Fisher; step grand children Vivienne and Declan Mason; brother Jeff Jobes (Joy); nephews John Jobes (Brittany); Josh Jobes; great nephews Jensen and Dean Jobes; and great niece Lainey Jobes. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother John Jobes.
Jim was loved by family and friends for his kind, gentle, and witty nature. He enjoyed spending time with them and listening to classic country music. He also enjoyed trips to the beach and the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee.
Services will be Wednesday 2:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Steve Peters officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery North. Visitation will be Wednesday 12-2 PM.
A gathering will be held directly following the burial service to share fellowship, memories, and food. The location will be shared during the service. All are welcome to attend.
