William D. “Bill” Wigal, 88, of Washington passed away March 1, 2026 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born on April 20, 1937 in Wadesville, WV a son of the late Ira Dale and Cleona King Wigal. Bill retired from Bureau of Public Debt, was an avid golfer and enjoyed bluegrass music.
He is survived by his wife June Phillips Wigal; two children, Mike (Tazra) Wigal of NC, Janice (Charlie) Goff of AZ; three step-children, Jeff (Deanna) Phillips of SC, Darren (Amy) Phillips of Washintgon, Shelley (Shawn) Marshall of Washington; two grandchildren, Zack Wigal, Addie Wigal both of NC; five step-grandchildren, Austin Phillips, Cameron Phillips, Parker Phillips, Braden Whitlatch, Brylee Whitlatch, Aaron Marshall; two step-great grandchildren, Remington and Weston Phillips.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Wigal; two brothers, Denzil and Don Wigal and step-grandson, Brennen Phillips.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 5th, at 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Evangelist Marvin Green officiating.
Burial will follow at Wigal Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 5-8 pm.
