William Lee Lott, 84, of Fleming, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus his Lord and Savior on Friday morning, January 16, 2026 surrounded by family members at his home. He was born in Lowell, Ohio on May 19, 1941 and was the son of the late Francis Lee and Mary Virginia Martin Lott.
Bill graduated from Vincent High School in 1959, married Susan Darlene (Martin) his wife of 65 years in December 1960. Together they raised 2 daughters, Pam Atkinson (Mark) and Linda Benson. Bill’s 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren were a constant source of happiness and contentment. Those who knew his jovial spirit might even say they provided fun and entertainment.
Bill worked at DuPont Washington Works for more than 40 years and after his retirement he spent the majority of his time serving the community and his Church. Bill was a Trustee, a Deacon, and a member of the choir at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Vincent, Ohio where he was known to all as Bubble Gum Bill.
Bill was an avid Warren Warrior basketball fan, enjoyed playing cards with his friends, and loved his time spent visiting homebound Church members. Bill enjoyed the simple things of life and was happiest when he was outside on his farm tending to chores in the yard and tinkering in his shop.
Arrangements are being managed by Leavitt Funeral Home in Belpre, Ohio. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 20, from 6 to 8 PM and 1 hour prior to services. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, January 21, at 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Belpre.
