Noah John Westbrook II, 59, of Parkersburg, WV passed away at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on September 23,2026 after a brief illness.
John was born November 28,1966 to the late Noah John Westbrook and Doris (Hopkins) Westbrook. He graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1985.
He owned and operated the Jungle Drive-In Theatre, which his paternal grandparents built and opened in 1951. His career included many years as a commercial truck driver working for AGA Gas, Linde, and Titan Energy. He also owned and managed rental property, overseeing his properties with care and attention while building lasting relationships with tenants.
His faith and love for his church family were an important part of his life. John attended The Celebration Center of Belpre for the last 28 years where he faithfully served as Head Usher and Head of the Security Team. More than a place of worship, his church was a family to him, and he cherished the friendships, fellowship, and love he shared with his church family.
He was blessed with many great friends throughout his life and he treasured those friendships deeply. His friendship, laughter, and ornery sense of humor will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Lori Westbrook; sister Anna Phillips, nephews Rick Phillips II, Jason Phillips, Logan Sallee (Marissa), niece Amber Abshire (Alex), mother- in-law Mary Ross, sister-in-law Julie Sallee (Milt), and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents Roscoe and India (Young) Hopkins, paternal grandparents Carl and Nellie (Smith) Westbrook, brother-in-law Rick Phillips, and father-in-law Fred Ross.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Nurses Jen and Gabby and the
entire team at Amedisys Hospice for their exceptional care and support during John’s final
days.
Services will be Tuesday, September 29th 1:00 pm at the Belpre Celebration Center, 1944 Washington Blvd., Belpre OH with Pastor Rob Clegg officiating.
Burial will follow at Willow Island Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 5-8 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
