Betty Jane Harvey, 96, of Belleville passed away June 15, 2026 at the Ravenswood Care Center. She was born in Wood County a daughter of the late John and Isa Lee (Wilson) Atkinson.
She was a homemaker and had been a member of Pond Creek Baptist Church, where she taught Bible School and Sunday School for the younger kiids. She was also a member of Pond Creek Volunteer Fired Department Auxiliary and the Sandyville Senior Citizens. She was know for baking cakes of all kinds and sharing them with everyone. She enjoyed stockcar racing, Elvis Presley, taking trips with the Sandyville Seniors; and was a huge supporter of Parkersburg South High School and West Virginia University.
She is survived by three sons William (Linda), Paul (Carla), and Donald (Beth) Harvey all of Belleville; two daughters Kathryn Rhodes (Jim) of Belleville and Angela Harvey of Lubeck; ten grandchildren Wayne Harvey (Amy), Ray Harvey (Ellen), Kevin Rhodes, Jesse Rhodes, Robb Harvey (Allison), Isa Harvey, Brandon Harvey, Adam Harvey, Dusty Mumma, and Taylor Lynch; and several great and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Glenn Harvey and two sisters Genevieve Stephens and Orella Jane Phillips.
Services will be Friday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Lester Morgan officiating. Burial will be at Pond Creek Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 PM.
