Bernard D. Marks
Bernard Duane “Buzz” Marks, 87, of Belpre, Oxbow Community, passed away May 20, 2026 at the Harmer Place in Marietta. He was born March 15, 1939 in Wirt County, WV, a son of the late Benjamina and Iva Hodgen Marks.
Mr. Marks family moved to Ohio when he was young and Buzz graduated from the old Vincent High School in 1957. He worked as a Lab Technician at DuPont until his retirement. He served his country in the U. S. Army. Buzz was a long-time member of the Oxbow Golf Course and enjoyed playing and watching the golf.
Surviving is his wife Barbara Maze Marks, daughter Kris Daniels, two brothers: Jerry Marks (Joyce) of Columbus and Jack Marks (Donna) of Fleming, grandchildren: Tyler Craig and Alli Selsor, great-grandchildren: Ashton and Maizie Craig along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Buzz was preceded in death by a brother Don Marks and his wife Linda.
Funeral services will be 1PM Saturday May 30, 2026 at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Interment will follow at the Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
