Evelyn Lassend, 44, of Parkersburg passed away May 16, 2026 at her residence. She was born May 19, 1981 in Puerto Rico a daughter of Arnaldo Lassend, Sr. and Evelyn Rivera.
She is survived by her parents; children Justin, Emilee and Nicolas Paulino; stepchildren Cameron and Maddie; and siblings Jennifer Lassen, Arnaldo Lassend, Jr., and Nevaeh Lassend.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Evelyn “Evy” Lassend. A remarkable person whose kindness, generosity and gentle spirit touched everyone around her. She was a devoted daughter, aunt, cousin, friend, colleague and her proudest job was being a devoted mother. She was incredibly proud of her children and she didn’t just mother them but their friends and community, cooking hosting gatherings with family and loved ones. Evy was the person to always show up for others, uplift a room with her positivity and carry herself with the ultimate strength and endurance. She was the heart of our family, she created a loving home which was the center for many special occasions and holidays.
Services will be Sunday 11:00 AM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 2-8 PM.
