Dale Arnold Christy, 67, of Parkersburg passed away May 16, 2026 Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born March 4, 1959, a son to the late Eugene and Bonita Christy (Hardy). Dale worked at Kohl’s as a Sales Floor Associate and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Waverly Fire Department and Pleasents County EMS for 7 years. He also loved reading a good book and spending time with his family. He was a hard worker and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving Dale are his wife Barbara Christy; children Dalton Christy, Shawna Christy, and Jessica Sharp (Steve); grandchildren Zach, Brittney, Lindsey, Ben, Isaac, Emily, Grace, and Ethan; great-grandchildren Dean, Sami-Rose, and Charlie; 7 brothers and sisters, and his beloved cat Pumpkin.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Tabitha Van Dyke; grandson Gregory Keller, and brothers Clyde and Gene.
A visitation will be held for Dale Wednesday, May 20th, from 5-7pm, at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. A private family burial for Dale will occur at Evergreen Cemetery North.
The family asks that all fans wear their Pittsburgh Steelers apparel to the viewing to honor Dale and his love for the team
