Carter Layne Amos, 8 months, of Parkersburg, passed away April 5, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Children’s Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
He was born July 7, 2025, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of Colby Amos and Tiffani Davis of Parkersburg, WV.
Carter is survived by his brother, Grayson Amos Kinzley, and Brinnlee Amos, all of Parkersburg, WV, paternal grandparents, Ken and Grace Amos of Rockport, WV, maternal grandmother, Angie Dowler of Parkersburg, WV, great-grandmother, Sharon Dowler of Parkersburg, WV, and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tom Davis, two great-grandfathers, Jake Dowler and Harlin Thompson, great-grandmother, Nina Amos, and great aunt, Debbie Bennett.
Service will be held on Friday, 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Michael Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens at a later date. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
