Helen M. Moreland, 92, of Belpre passed away March 1, 2026 at the Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. She was born on October 29, 1933 in Parkersburg, WV a daughter of the late Ernest Keesor and Ruby (Langdon) Keesor.

Helen grew up in Parkersburg, WV, where her father served as the Pastor of the Marrtown Church of the Nazarene. She was deeply involved in supporting his ministry, serving as the pianist, music director, and a Sunday school teacher. Following her father’s retirement, she moved her family to First Church of the Nazarene and eventually to her longtime home church, Broadway Church of the Nazarene. There, she continued her dedicated service as a board member, in missionary outreach, and on various other committees. Her devotion to the church and her service to the Lord remained a cornerstone of her life until her passing.

She worked as a photo developer and held various other positions at the Nashua Film Developing plant until her retirement in 1995. She loved attending the annual banquet to catch up with coworkers and lifelong friends.

One of Helen’s great joys was golf, a passion that began about 25 years ago when she and a close friend took lessons together. She joined the Worthington Women’s Golf League, where she built many lasting friendships over the years. Even when she could no longer play, she cherished attending the league’s luncheons whenever possible.

She is survived by her children Katherine Moreland and Mark (Kim) Moreland, her grandchildren Brad Moreland, Kayla (Kevin) Knight, and Dakota Lobo, great-grandchildren Madison Knight, Weston Knight, and Waylon Knight, and her great great-grandchild Kolton Morgan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jack Moreland, as well as her siblings Lyle Burcham, Lawrence Keesor, William “Bud” Keesor, Doris Dycus (Keesor), Richard Keesor, and Noel Keesor.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2026, 1:00 pm at the Broadway Church of the Nazarene, with a visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 prior to the service, with Pastor John Witmer officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2026, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Broadway Church of the Nazarene.
