Russell Eugene Fullerton, 77, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away February 17, 2026, at the Worthington Healthcare Center, in Parkersburg.
He was born January 10, 1949, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Kenneth Eugene and Emogene “Emmie” Fullerton.
Russ was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was the owner and operator of Gene and Don’s Body Shop in Parkersburg. Russ was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Vienna, WV, where he enjoyed singing in the choir and special music. Russ loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, camping, flower gardening and woodworking. Russ loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children Shawn (Tammy) Fullerton of Parkersburg, Jason Fullerton of Parkersburg, Melissa (Brett) Leasure of Parkersburg, Jeremy (Heather) Fullerton of Rockport, WV, Tim (Marcie) Fullerton of Fleming, OH and Seth (Hannah) Fullerton of Parkersburg; grandchildren Jordan Fullerton, Paige (Chance) Maul, Dalton Fullerton, Callie (Ben) Atkinson, Audrie Leasure, Taylor (Ricky) Schaffer, Braxton Fullerton, London Nelson, Emmy Fullerton and Jack Fullerton; great grandchildren Hudson Chichester, Georgia Chichester, Sutton Schaffer, Tate Schaffer, Emery Schaffer, Amelia Atkinson and Reid Maul; brothers Pastor Kenneth E. (Elaine)Fullerton and Marty E. (Tami) Fullerton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Linda Lee Fullerton.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Saturday February 21, 2026, at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre, with Pastor Michael Elder officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery North.
