Ruth Ann McBride, 85, of Parkersburg passed away January 31, 2026 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. She was born on July 2, 1940 in Charleston, WV a daughter of the late Wansford Watson and Reba Myers Evans.
Ruth worked as a probate officer at the Wood County Probate Court, was a member of Spreading Truth Ministries Church and enjoyed playing the piano earlier in life. She loved raising her children and grandkids, making sure everyone gathered at her house for dinner on Sundays and family holiday gatherings and Taco Salad for Easter was a must.
She is survived by three children, Tim (Debbie) McBride, Sharon McBride, Chris (Norma) McBride; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Willie (Frances) Evans; two sisters-in-law, Hele Evans and Joyce Evans.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa McBride and five brothers, Michael, Mel, David, Leon and Uhl Evans.
Funeral services will be Saturday February 7th at 1:00 pm at Spreading Truth Ministries Church with Pastor Ralph Tisdale officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery North .
Visitation will be held Saturday 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the church.
