Benjamin Franklin Mathews III, 80, of Parkersburg passed away January 27, 2026 at the Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. Benjamin was born on January 4, 1946 in Parkersburg, WV a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Mathews Jr. and Glenna (Nichols) Mathews. He was known as Frank to his family and friends in the community, and was a graduate of Parkersburg High School.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Mathews of Parkersburg, his sister, Treva Province (John) of Mineral Wells, his sister Brenda Mathews of Parkersburg, as well as several nieces and nephews including Mary Cross of Parkersburg, James Michael Loyd of Holmesville, OH, Ben (Randy) Province of Pilot, VA, along with many other family members, and his special friend Mary Boice.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Trudy Loyd, and his significant other Patricia Frame.
Per his wishes, there will be no services at this time and Benjamin will be cremated.
