Mary L. Ray, 87, of Parkersburg, WV died Friday January 23, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Belleville, WV a daughter of the late Jacob C. and Agatha (Wilson) Marty.
She was a homemaker and member of Fort Boreman House of Prayer.
She is survived by her husband of almost sixty-nine years William Denzil Ray; five children Charlotte Bennett (Dennis) of Bartlett, OH, Denzil Ray II (Diana) of Belpre, OH, Judy Ellison (Harold) of Pettyville, WV, J.D. Ray (Rebecca) of Parkersburg, and Crystal Gunn (Keith) of Tallahassee, FL; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother Junior Marty; and a sister Elva Dye.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Raymond, Clark, and Denzil Marty; and four sisters Ola Stevens, Opal Abbott, Edith Marty, and Alice Carpenter.
Services will be Friday 11:00 AM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 PM.
