Walter Thomas “Tom” Jefferson, 78, of Parkersburg passed away January 10, 2026 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1947 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Walter G. Jefferson and Dorothy E. (Wyant) Jefferson.

Tom worked as an automotive mechanic for many years at Wharton Cadillac, and in his recent years was the intake director at the Salvation Army in Parkersburg. He was a faithful member of Williams Creek Baptist Church in Williamstown, West Virginia. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and was a faithful man of God.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Angela Lessard, his grandsons Caleb and Jason Lessard, as well as his church family that helped take care of him in his later years.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife Constance “Connie” Jefferson, as well as his brother Robert “Bob” Jefferson.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 19th, 3:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg, with Pastor Mike Horner officiating.

Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 19th at Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tom’s honor to Williams Creek Baptist Church.
